Four Non-Conventional Bingo Games Explored
Many of us are only conversant with the traditional form of bingo. This is where bingo is presented as a game of pure chance; involving the drawing of numbers and matching them against those that are printed on the matrices. This is followed by a checking of the matches, initially by the players themselves; with any person who feels that they might have a perfect match calling out the word 'bingo' - hence the name of the game. This is followed by a checking of the numbers by the other players to establish whether the win is genuine.
But beyond this conventional bingo game, there are a number of non conventional variants; some of which are arguably even more exciting than the traditional, conventional form of bingo. Here, we briefly explore four of those.
The first example of these non-conventional bingo games is that which is known as bonanza bingo. What sets bonanza bingo apart from conventional bingo is the involvement of (sold) cards here, where the numbers that would have been randomly drawn in conventional bingo are now contained in a sealed card that the players 'purchase.' The winning numbers are then announced (after having been drawn before game started), and then the players asked, after checking the contents of their sealed poker cards, who among them has the bingo (winning combination). If nobody does, another round of card selling is done, the prize typically upped, and the question as to who has the winning combination (the bingo) asked again. This goes on till someone happens to get the bingo, by which time a lot of cards are likely to have been sold, and by which time the prize money could have grown exponentially to a truly mouth-watering figure.
The second example of non conventional bingo games is that which is known as table bingo. What sets this apart from conventional bingo is the fact that it introduces 'chips' into the game, with those chips now serving the role of marking and monitoring the movement of the matrices.
Then we have what is termed as 'U-Pick-Em Bingo' as another example of the non conventional bingo games. The defining feature of this bingo game is the freedom it gives the participants, in terms of things like selecting the numbers that they wish to mark and subsequently monitor (essentially the number they wish to bet on). As we all know, in conventional bingo this is left to chance. Essentially what this form of bingo does is to take the fact that 'bingo is a game of chance' to another higher level; yet a level at which you are likely to feel more in control as it is you who does the selecting of the numbers to bet on.
